Salman Mo

Hola, I am an aspirational Year 12 Ilford County High School student who studies mathematics, economics, and geography at A-Level with a bundle of exciting extra and super curriculars that I actively participate in. Want to see what I'm all about?

About Me

As a student fortunate enough to have over 700 meaningful connections across England, I have a commendable network of people who I can receive expert advice and support from. These people have opened up many opportunities for me to engage with. To name a few; being an active member of Investate, Young Asians in Finance, The Asian Arab Network and Apprentadream. These are communities for a select few students that have allowed me to gain valuable insights into the world of both university and work.My network has furnished me with chances to engage in significant events such as workshops with Forvis Mazars, Lloyds Banking Group, UBS Banking & Finance, and work experiences with Supercare Pharmacy, Fullwell Cross Library, and the British Heart Foundation which have developed my understanding of what is required in the world of work, enabling me to start building these vital skills early.I have participated in competitions that range from school to national levels. These competitions, which include the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge, Design Ventura Product Creation Competition, and the Alison Intro to Business Finance course have aided me in learning to psychologically stay positive even in the worst of setbacks, building resilience that I have transferred to other parts of my life.Outside of the academic world, I love to work on new projects. For example, I have recently started to develop a football website that attempts to simplify the process of learning the beautiful sport for beginners which is, as of writing this, in the process of being designed. Furthermore, I strive to take part in exciting super curricular activities, some of which I have recently taken up as daily hobbies. Taking part in competitive badminton, tennis, swimming, and football environments have taught me to face challenges head on (and have admittedly made me despise losing). For the foreseeable academic future, my next steps after sixth form will be completing a Bsc Economics degree with honours from Queen Mary University of London. However, with degree apprenticeships becoming more favourable to university, I am currently monitoring the Level 6 PwC Accounting Apprenticeship and the Level 6 Goldman Sachs QMUA Applied Finance Apprenticeship. You want more?
